Who We Are

As an independent, non-denominational, fully-affirming congregation, we welcome all individuals, families, traditions, religions, and walks of life. We’re guided by the belief that when we listen and learn together, we build a more beautiful, resilient community.

Explore our many ministries—including a magnificent music program, vibrant children’s program, engaging Bible studies, and dynamic social outreach projects.

Our commitment to inclusivity includes accessibility: plans are underway to install a lift that will connect all three levels of the Church, Fellowship Hall, Sanctuary, and Choir loft.

Join us for worship, to celebrate your significant family event, or simply for inspiration, encouragement, and respite.

About SCC

One of the most recognizable and photographed churches in Vermont, this Colonial-style church was built in 1863. It became the Stowe Community Church In 1920, when four Protestant congregations joined to form one of the first non-denominational churches in New England.

Since then, the building has been an integral part of Stowe life, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
