Children's & Youth Ministries
Christian Education at Stowe Community Church
The Christian education ministry at Stowe Community Church exists to teach participants about the world God created, how our faith is woven into each area of learning, and how to find purpose and meaning through God. Through developing a greater understanding of God’s love and will, we will show his love to those around us throughout our lives.
We have four programs in the SCC Christian Education Ministry:
Nursery - for infants to age 3
Children’s Ministry – for ages 4 through Grade 5
Youth Ministry – for teens
Cherub and Youth Choirs
In addition, we host a variety of events and activities for children of all ages, such as joining us in Easter Egg Hunts, Stowe’s annual July 4th parade, our beloved Christmas Pageant, Christmas Eve services as well as Blessing of the Animals, Blessing of the Baskets, Blessing of the Backpacks, and Blessing of the Costumes.
Our Educational Programs
We strive to offer our family and friends, of all ages, an opportunity to provide a solid Christian Education program at Stowe Community Church, from Bible Camp for our kiddos to Adult Bible Studies, and everyone in between.

Our pastor often says that the nursery is the most sacred space in our Church. Our nursery coordinator provides a safe, clean environment for babies from birth to age 3 every Sunday morning while parents attend the weekly service.
-
For children aged 4 through Grade 5, Children’s Church occupies the first portion of the weekly service and then continues into Sunday School for the remaining time. Learning is combined with fun—and hungry tummies can get a snack too.
Bible Camp is offered at the end of every summer for younger children, guided by staff and assisted by middle-school and high-school students. It’s a lovely bookend to a busy, activity-filled summer for families.
Spark Afterschool Program is a 6-week afterschool program held in our Fellowship Hall. It functions as a continuation of Sunday School, incorporating music and theater into learning.

Stowe Community Church is dedicated to the youth in our community who are looking for belonging, service, and a place to live out their ideas, and grow in their faith. Molly Mitchell is our Youth Ministries Director and is excited to plan activities and enrichment for the youth in our community.
