Missions and Service

Community Outreach is fundamental to our witness as a church and our missions committee adheres to one guiding principle.

“Serving Him by Helping Others in Need”

We know that, together, our efforts are making a difference to those in need in our local and international communities.

From food poverty to families in crisis, we are honored and blessed to be able to support organizations right in our backyard and beyond.

Kenyan Orphans

Lamoille Family Center

Lamoille Community House

Habitat for Humanity

Lamoille Community Food Share

Meals on Wheels

Lamoille Foster Parent Association

Compassion International

Clarina Howard Nichols Center

Hunger Free Vermont

Church World Service

Lamoille Home Health and Hospice

Salvation Farms

The Stowe School Emergency Fund

Throughout the year, SCC collects, fills and distributes food boxes to needy families this past spring, at Thanksgiving, and Christmas along with help from Blessed Sacrament Church and Stowe Schools.

Along with our neighbors at Blessed Sacrament Church and Stowe Schools, food boxes are filled and distributed to needy families throughout the year. SCC supports the Food Shelf with our members bringing non-perishable food items to be collected and donated each week. We have hopes to collaborate with the Lamoille Community House homeless shelter and Habitat for Humanity with building a family home in Morrisville, VT.

If you’d like more information on organizations we support or donate, please contact the church office.

Prayer Team

There is a group of people in our church who are ready and willing to pray for any concerns you have.

Is someone you know or are you ill?  Need healing?  Relationship problems?  Faith need a boost?

We are here to help in praying for you or your family, friends, and neighbors.  Just contact the office info@stowechurch.org and list your prayer requests.  They will be sent to the prayer team via email.

All prayer requests are kept confidential.  Of course we are always seeking to add names to the prayer team of people willing and able to pray for others.

"Hold on tight to what God gave you!"

This was our message this morning, July 21, 2019.  Amazing lesson from Pastor Ouma and his beautiful wife from Kenya.
