Announcements

The annual giving from the Stowe Faith Communities to the Lamoille Community Food Share for Thanksgiving food baskets has begun for the next 3 weeks, October 29 - November 12, 2023. This giving tradition over the past 33 years was started by Deacon Elise Braun from St. John’s in the Mountains Episcopal Church, Stowe. Known as Share For Thanksgiving (was known as Turkey Challenge), food baskets are for anyone in need. Please be as generous as possible in your giving. Make your check payable to Stowe Community Church and put “Share for Thanksgiving” on the memo line.  You could put cash in an envelope and put it in the collection plate entering “Share for Thanksgiving” on the envelope.  Thank you.

Fall Concert

On Saturday November 11th, at 7:00 pm

The Jon Gailmor/ Taryn Noelle Quartet will present a concert of Folk, Jazz, Americana, Western Swing, Showtunes and Originals and will feature the wonderful Vermont singer-songwriter and educator Jon Gailmor, along with local performing and teaching artist Taryn Noelle.  Rounding out the Quartet is the well known Dono Schabner on guitar and vocals and Dave Rowell on bass and vocals.  Tickets are $20 at the door, light refreshments will be provided.  This new Quartet is thrilled to share their new collaboration with all of you!

The Stowe Community Church is teaming up with the Stowe Community Church and Stowe Schools to provide local families in need with Thanksgiving baskets. Please see our turkey at the back of the church or at our neighboring schools.  Pull the food feathers to help donate.  Food donations need to be brought back to church by Sunday November 19th at noon.  If you are providing a turkey or refrigerated item please place it in the church kitchen refrigerator.  If you would prefer to make a cash donation to offset the basket cost or if you know of a family in need please contact the church office.  Thank you all!
